Site Rules
These rules are VERY important as we have agreed to legal rules from the LD/WD team, if you do not follow these rules you will be banned from this site!
Site Rules
1-1 We only allow wolf images and attachments (such as decorations and backgrounds) from Wolvden to be used for characters. No extra artwork such as item art, scenery, or animals from explore or other places around the site.
1-2 Any images used from the site should be uploaded to a different, private server (not to somewhere public like imgur) and not hotlinked from Wolvden. (Use Devi stash or Dropbox..etc)
1-3 One account per person, do not include your ID number in your username when signing up!
1-4 No member modding! This is when a member tries to correct other members/do a staff member's job.
Character Rules:
AGING: We will try to follow Wolvden Game when it comes to aging, however, we have mostly liquid time here. Meaning, if your wolf goes from pup to adol then you should try your best to also have the age that way in RP but because of the liquid time we aren't very strict on it we just don't want your in game wolf to be six years old and then you still RP them like a month old pup. It helps to keep siblings together in age and make it more realistic. We don't want your characters to live forever, so if they die In-game they must also die in RP, if you don't protect your pups and they die young your character must also die young. If you freeze your wolves for game purposes then we ask that you kill your wolves off in RP after one real-life year that their character app has been posted. (Please note we have a shop item you can buy that allows you to keep RPing a character even if they have died in-game)
What is Liquid time? With liquid time you are able to have multiple threads and because of slow replies one thread might be made when your character was 2-year-old despite them now being 5 years old, you can still go back to the 2 year old thread and continue responding to that thread.
2-1 Your character must be from Wolvden, this is a Wolvden based roleplay after all. Your character must be in game and can not be just a wardrobe picture. (we may add a shop item or make prizes one day to allow you to use a wardrobe pic but as of right now we do not allow it)
2-2 You must use your character's picture from wolvden when making an application, however, you can use art and other photos when you RP them as long as it mostly matches your character.
2-3 If a character is sold in Game they must also die in RP unless a shop item is bought, we don't want to limit people but if you get rid of your character you no longer can keep track of them or have control over what happens to them. (The shop item can be used up to three times at once)
2-4 A character cannot have a mutation unless bred/added like that in-game.
2-5 No sues. This means your character can not be good at everything or have a perfect personality.
2-6 There is near-total freedom in naming your character. HOWEVER, if it is something rude, or offensive you will be asked to change it.
2-7 You may only use the colors (bases/markings/eyes) that are allowed in-game.
2-8 We do not allow magic wolves, all decor in-game does not transfer to RP, no winged wolves.
2-9 You can show signs of personality disorder/other disorders like it but you can not call it such or have the side effects match up 100%, it adds too much complexity and is unnecessary.
2-10 pups can not be on their own in RP until they are old enough in game to be considered an adolescent. (6 months)
2-11 You may not mention names in your wolfs history unless said character already exists. This is to prevent confusion.
Roleplay Rules:
3-1 Graphic roleplay mating is not accepted. It is not important nor is it appropriate, please fade to black or take it to pm however if you take it to pm please do it somewhere other than proboards as they have rules against it.
3-2 We require you to post at least 100 words in a reply!
3-3 Do not spam tag or pm someone to reply, muse comes and goes.

Metagaming is a term used in role-playing, which describes a player's use of real-life knowledge concerning the state of the RP to determine their character's actions when said character has no relevant knowledge or awareness under the circumstances. Just because you read something does not mean your characters now knows what you just read. If you read secrets in a (private) marked thread then those secrets should only be known by those characters.
Example 1: Character A is asleep, Character B is in the woods when he stumbles upon a mountain lion. Character A suddenly wakes up and runs directly to Character B, Character A bites off the head of the mountain lion saving the day.
Example 2: Character A and Character B are in a private thread, no one else can post in it just those two. They are telling the secret of how they stole a stick from a pup while he was sleeping. The roleplayer of Character C is reading their thread, the RPer then goes off to make a thread where Character C says they know who stole the stick from the pup as they figured it out all on their own.
